The Table for 12 Membership Details
What is the cost and what do I get?
The Table For 12 is an annual subscription of $1,500 per year. Membership grants you access to the dinner club in your home city. The dinner club hosts an average of 3 events per month – every single month of the year. Membership also includes access to our platform, including our People Pairing Matchmaking app which connects our members for love, work, or friendship and curates weekly matches for you in your home city and other cities too. We’re also offering more robust offerings like restaurant perks, discounts, and more!
Is this a dating club?
We are an everything and anything club! We are a social dinner club where members come to meet new friends, find love, make work connections, or just to have amazing food with new interesting people. The truth is many of our members want to meet people for multiple reasons.
Are dinners included in the membership?
No, dinners and events come at an additional cost. The average cost is approximately $200 per person, but menus are shared in advance so you can review the pricing and offerings beforehand.
Do I have to split the bill with strangers?
NO WAY — and we can’t think of anything worse! We do NOT itemize the bill. There is no circumstance where you will be asked to look at or split the bill with strangers that night. We do an EVEN split the bill divided by however many people were there regardless of who ate or drank what. You will receive an email the next day with the cost per person and we will pull it from your card on file for a frictionless experience. If this is not for you, we kindly ask you do not apply to be a member.
What is The Interview all about?
At this stage in life nobody wants to waste their time, and they want to be sure their money is well spent. To ensure our community is what we promise, all members are pre-vetted through our application, review, and zoom interview process.
I have a dietary restriction. Can I still join?
Yes, however, we often host tasting menus or set-course dinners with limited flexibility. You’ll need to navigate menus as you normally would based on your restrictions. We often allow ordering à la carte, but we cannot guarantee that any restaurant or The Table For 12 can accommodate ANY restriction or allergy AT ALL. It will be on a case-by-case basis. What if a dinner fills up and is sold out?
We have an excellent waitlist system. When someone cancels (and someone always does), the system sends out automated texts and emails to wait-listers. It’s then first come, first served to grab the open spot. If we see we have so many people that we need another table we will simply spin another up either for that night or for another date that month. We aim to post upcoming events 60 days in advance to allow members ample time to plan if needed.
What if I cancel or can't make it to a dinner I signed up for?
We understand things come up! To support the best experience for everyone, if you need to cancel, simply email the host — this triggers the waitlist notifications. If no one takes your spot, you’ll be responsible for your portion of the bill as if you attended the dinner. We are highly motivated to get the seat filled and get you off the hook for payment, however, there are no exceptions as empty seats are a detriment to the experience and health of the club.
What is the matchmaking part?
Our People Pairing app feeds you your top matches each week for love, work, or friends (whichever you choose) based on an algorithm and a survey you will take. There are 3 separate surveys you may choose to participate in OR simply cruise the app for connections as you please.
We know as a whole people are totally over “the apps” – we are too. We’re over the old style of apps though. The apps with no vetting processes, with no person-to-person interactions, and a pay to play model that is designed to have no quality assurance of the community you’re being sold. With People Pairing, the same diligent application, review, and zoom interview process is applied to all members whether they are part of the in-person dinner club or the People Pairing app.
Where are you currently operating?
